Three sorts, the same forty bars, one race that decides
nothing. Bubble, insertion and quicksort take one step at a time in turn,
so the slow one really is slow and the quick one really is quick. A tone
follows the comparison, one note at a time, and the first bar to stop
moving wins a race nobody entered.
The rest of the family is that way.
How it works
Start races; the same button pauses and resumes, and New bars
stops the race and shuffles again. Sound begins only after Start, plays at
most twelve notes a second, and the button turns it off for good until you
turn it back on. The bars are decoration for assistive tech: the step
counts and the finishing order are in text.
